Welcome to entry twenty five in this series! The end is in sight, and that means we are getting into the good stuff. Today’s blog is all about games that I have not played, but own with the intent of playing them. So without further ado, let’s get right to them.
First up today I am going to talk about some of the more recent games that I have purchased, but still need to play through. This includes Batman: Arkham City. Although I’ve may have had this game in my Xbox360. Playing through roughly 40 minutes of this game doesn’t exactly constitute playing through it in my eyes. Mostly because much of this game’s content is optional and hidden all through the game.
Another game that can be considered recent in that respect is Lord of the Rings: War in the North, a game that I acquired through a charity auction event in December. It has yet to be in the disc drive, but it is on the list. Part of the reason why I even got this game was because of the charity auction. Coupled with the fact it was a Collector’s Edition that came with a great figure of a cave troll sealed the deal for me.
On to some older games that are on my list. Because of my tendency to play games for reviewing purposes, I have little time to play any other games when they come out. This means I will likely not pick up most new games, until they drop in price to about fifteen to twenty bucks. At this point I’m more than comfortable with spending the money even if I end up not playing the game for a few weeks. This includes games like Modern Warfare 2, Deadly Premonition, Killzone 2, DJ Hero and many others.
I’m going to highlight just a few more that I feel are truly burning a hole in my pocket at the moment. The first one is the detective thriller Alan Wake. Another game I picked up on the cheap, but have yet been able to sit down and dive into. From what I’ve heard it should be right up my alley in terms of gameplay. I hope that I am able to get back to all of you on that soon.
The last game I’m going to mention today is one that has been high on my list of games to play through; Bioshock. Since it first came out it caught my eye, but at the time I was far too busy with many other games. I’ve read quite a bit about this game, especially about the Adam that you can harvest from the Little Sisters, and what some of the consequences of that can be. I know that the Bioshock franchise has many followers that praise its cinematic feel and the atmosphere in the world of Rapture.
So that’s a small insight in my personal back-log of video games. I do fully intend to play all of these games. And am anticipating a moment when I can have a clone of myself play through them, but still be able to save the experiences into my own consciousness. For now I will pluck away at my stack of games. Please leave a comment below with some of the games that you are intending to play.
